DESIGN UPDATES
Design updates are used to change or add images and/or traits to your character's masterlist profile.
Design Updates
To submit a design update, go onto your character's masterlist profile page, then select "Update Design" from the sidebar. For assistance with this process, you can lightly refer to the steps outlined in the MYO Submissions Guide, as it is a pretty similar page set up!
Free to Add
The following can be uploaded at no cost by submitting a design update.
- References
- Reference images can include anything you'd like. Alternative outfits, detailed references with cutaways of traits, etc.
- Each Squib may only have one reference image uploaded. This can be replaced at no cost.
- Anthro / Feral Form
- A Squib may have one anthro form and one feral form attached at a time.
- Alternative Form
- Anything from recoloring to a shapeshifted body.
- It is required to have the Cuttlefish trait for alternative palates. Each addition requires an extra trait.
- It is required to have the Shapeshifting trait for alternative forms. Shapeshifting is currently being reworked and is not submittable at this time.
- Forms of other Squib Islands species are permitted with a MYO of the species. (EX. You may use a Companion MYO to give your shapeshifting Squib a Companion Form)
- Forms of other Squib Subtypes are permitted with a subtype swap item of the species.
- Forms of other original species (closed or open) are not permitted on the Squib Islands site.
- Forms of any third party material or copyrighted species are not permitted on the Squib Islands site. (EX. You cannot make your Squib into a Pokemon)
Redesigning
If you are not the original designer, please make sure to follow the original designer's T.O.S. concerning redesigns.
Full Redesigns require the attachment of a Full Redesign Potion.
- Any traits can be edited, as long as the original rarity is kept.
- Any traits can be added/removed, as long as it stays within the rarity of your character's slot.
- Redesigns must reflect the original theme. No character can be entirely changed from it's theme!
Minor Redesigns require the attachment of either a Trait Jumble Potion or a Color Splash Potion.
- Color changes and pelt pattern changes require the addition of the Color Splash Potion.
- Simplification of current patterns does not require this item.
- Trait changes, swaps, and removals require the addition of the Trait Jumble Potion.
- The character cannot gain more traits of a higher rarity in this fashion.
- EX. If you have a Rare Slot with one Legendary Trait, you may swap that Legendary Trait with any other type of Legendary, but you may not add an additional Legendary Trait and end up with more than 1 total.
Updates
To update your character with new traits or change subtypes, you can attach any item from the Character Upgrade Items category during submission.
This does not include redesigning, and will require the addition of the correct redesign item if desired.
By adding a trait to one form of your character, any other official forms without this trait will be marked unofficial. All forms and references must have consistent traits (excluding Shapeshifting). You will be able to reupload the corrected versions of these forms at no additional cost!
